His Teachings:
Enlightenment & Self-Realization
Sri
Sutrananda created the 10 weeks or 20 days Enlightenment
and Self-Realization Program and the 40 days or 20 weeks
Master's Training to help others remember what they
have forgotten. Enlightenment it is everyone’s god given
birthright. Once Enlightened, people remember who they really
are. Sri Sutrananda’s program bridges ancient theories with
modern day examples about how to achieve Enlightenment and
Self-Realization in today’s world for today’s people. Sri
Sutrananda says that his way is not the only way, it is merely
another way proven to work. Remember "Paths are many, truth is
one". He says that Fear and Guilt is the only thing that
separates you from the Truth of who you already are and what you
already know in the depth of your being.
Enlightenment it is everyone’s god given birthright
Sri Sutrananda
Enlightenment goes parallel with Self-Realization. Through
Enlightenment, your capacity to understand expands because your
brain activity increases, expanding the capacity to absorb and
process more information. The frequency or vibration of your
being changes and you are no longer affected by events that have
provoked you in the past. For example jealousy is a low
vibration and one cannot be affected by this vibration when the
vibration of the soul has been refined.
In Yoga Self -Realization is knowledge of
one’s true self. This true self is also referred to as the
“Atman” or “soul” to avoid ambiguity. The term
“Self-Realization” is a translation of the Sanskrit expression
“Atman Jnana” (knowledge of the self or Atman). The reason the
term “realization” is used instead of “knowledge” is that Jnana
refers to knowledge based on experience, not mere intellectual
knowledge. Self-Realization begins by asking the questions:
Who am I?
What is the real truth?
What is this world about?
What or who is god?
According to Master Paramhansa Yogananda “Self-Realization is
the knowing in all parts of body, mind and soul that you are now
in possession of the kingdom of God; that you do not have to
pray that it comes to you; that God’s omnipresence is your
omnipresence, and all that you need to do is improve your
knowing.” Sri Sutrananda teaches Self-Realization using “The
Yoga Sutras of Patanjaili,” translated by his beloved Guru, Sri
Swami Satchidananda and “Inside the Sutras” by Rev. Jaganath
Carrera, whom he has had the privilege of knowing personally,
and his own modern interpretation of the Sutras, what he call
Gentle Wisdom.
“The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali ” are one of
the six Darshanas of Hindu or Vedic Schools and alongside the
Bhagavad-Gita and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika are milestones in the
history of Yoga. The reading of the Sutras is part of your path
(training). Read a couple of Sutras (short terse phrases) a day
and slowly digest it until the understanding becomes part of
your soul, do not worry if you don’t understand them fully at
the beginning, just keep up with your practice and your reading
without any expectations. You will find yourself opening up to a
whole new reality. The Enlightened person becomes a wise person
when knowledge learned is applied.
One of the vehicles to Enlightenment and Self-Realization is
Pranayama, and one or the six branches of Yoga: Jnana Yoga (Yoga
of wisdom), Raja-Yoga (Yoga of meditation), Hatha-Yoga (Kunda
Yoga Sequences of Poses), Karma yoga ( Yoga of service and good
will), Bhakti-Yoga (Yoga of devotion), and Japa Yoga ( Yoga of
sound).
Enlightenment/Kundalini
Evidence
of Kundalini has been conveyed throughout the science of Yoga
for at least 5000 years, it is only in the last 50 years that
masters scholars and erudite from all over the world have
started to pay attention and talk about it; countless books from
many different authors describe it, explain it and all of them
talk about the awakening of it and the magical powers that come
with the arousal, but very few grasp the essence of this
magnificent divine energy. I will not repeat what has already
been explained and said by some other reputable authors such as:
Gopi Krishna, CW Leadbeather, Sir Arthur Avalon, Osho, Sri
Sivananda and many others. Instead I will take you on a journey
that will show step by step the path to enlightenment and
self-realization, welcome to your inner journey. In most human
beings Kundalini is dormant; it lies with in the Kunda within
the Muladara (root) chakra. To understand the process of
Enlightenment and Self-Realization, first, we must understand
how our physical and energetic body function.
The physical body it is composed of glands, nerves, flesh,
blood and bones; in the process of enlightenment and self
realization, the nervous system and the glandular system are of
paramount importance. Enlightenment it is a neurobiological
change in the brain, this neurobiological change re-pattern the
structure and physiology of the brain. Once this process
completes itself, a person finds himself or herself in a
permanent state of enlightenment. This is not necessarily a
mystical state, but simply a state of experiencing reality as it
is, without the limiting filters and conditioning of the human
mind. Enlightenment is a very natural state, the enlightened
person becomes much more functional, joyful, loving, and
efficient in every aspect of life. Religion has nothing to do
with enlightenment, nor even spirituality. It is a purely
neurobiological phenomenon. Once enlightened, your guiding light
will come from within yourself, and you will reconnect with the
essence within whatever religion or spiritual tradition you
belong to or don’t belong to. Now, you may ask; how long it will
it take me to become enlightened?
Well, it depends on many factors, including the state of your
chakras and nadis, your childhood conditioning, and your fears
and resistance to change. Some people have become enlightened in
very little time, some others require a much longer period of
time. But the important thing is that you WILL become
Enlightened, it is your God given birth right. Once Enlightened
you will not be plucked out of the world. You will continue to
live your life, do your work, and engage in your relationships.
As you become more present with each moment, each ordinary
moment will become an extraordinary experience. You will
discover that what you have called love was simply the survival
needs of a neurotic self. You will begin to experience
unconditional love and limitless joy in all your relationships,
including your relationship with yourself! Once you become
enlightened, you will be no longer trying to run your life from
your limited perceptions of life and reality. You will find that
the entire universe moves through you. Synchronicities become a
way of life, opportunities will come your way with seemingly
little effort, at this point you just have to be alert and
recognize what God your creator is sending your way, then life
will become spontaneous and easy. As I said, it is your God
given right. Now, let's begin by understanding and knowing
ourselves: The human body is composed of 108 Chakras and 72,000
Nadis. The idea of Chakras and Nadis first appeared in the
earliest Upanishads (7th-8th century b.c.e.). The
concept was developed in the later Upanishads from 2nd
century b.c.e. to the 2nd century c.e. and later - In the
nascent Yoga and Tantric schools. Out of the 108 Chakras we will
learn about 10 of the main Chakras and 3 of the 72,000 Nadis.
When Kundalini is awakened, it rises from the Kunda within the
root chakra call Muladara, her channels of ascension are the 3
main Nadis: Sushuma, Ida and Pingala .
In it's ascension, Kundalini pierces each of the seven main
Chakras until it reaches the top of the head. From bottom to top
the Chakras are: Muladara, Svadishtana, Manipura,
Anahata, Vishuda, Ajna and Sahasrara. In it's
rising, Kundalini also activates some other sub chakras
including Lalata which is responsible
for the awakening of spiritual powers as: Clairvoyance,
Clairaudience, Clairsentience and many other which are call
Sidhis.
Kundalini it is a divine force that lies within all of us,
all religions one way or another affirm that God did create man
at his/her own image. “ Coiled like a snake at
the base of the spine, Kundalini is the spiritual force that
lies dormant in every human being. Once awakened, often through
Meditation and Yoga practices, it rises up the spine and finds
expression in the form of spiritual knowledge or self
realization, mystical vision, psychic powers, and enlightenment.

Kunda Yoga
Kunda
Yoga is a scientific system designed for the harmonious
development of the individual in the twenty first century.
Sri Sutrananda has taken the most significant part of each
branch of Yoga creating a perfect harmonious combination of
Asanas, Pranayama, and meditation to bring about
self-realization. Kunda yoga brings about enlightenment , by
first, creating inner balance, second, purifying and energizing
the endocrines glands and nervous system, and third
synchronizing the left and right hemisphere’s of the brain.
